Plan around the birth you expect.
Ask what you need to know.

A due date is the wrong anchor when the birth is already booked. The questions on a booking form were the wrong ones when you could not change them. Invoice numbers were stuck even when your accountant wanted a different sequence.

Clients

Set a planned delivery date

A scheduled C-section or induction has a date. The on-call window, the calendar, and follow-ups can use that date instead of the due date. The due date stays on the record.

  1. Open the client and edit their dates.
  2. Set Planned delivery for the C-section or induction. Keep the due date as well.
  3. Save. The calendar marks planned delivery rather than the due date, and the on-call window is centred on the planned day.

A family recorded as a loss no longer appears on the calendar as an upcoming birth. Their record stays. The due-date marker does not.

02

Follow-ups

Suggest antenatal follow-ups

Postnatal suggestions were already on the client. Antenatal ones are timed from the package, how far along they are, and the planned delivery date or the due date.

  1. Open the client and go to Follow-ups.
  2. Under Suggested antenatal follow-ups, click Get suggestions. This uses DoulaOne AI, which is part of Pro and has to be switched on.
  3. Untick anything you do not want, then add the rest. Nothing is saved until you add it.

Add a due date or a planned delivery date first. Refresh the suggestions if that date changes.

03

Bookings

Change the booking questions

Book a call and each meeting link used a fixed form. You can now hide or rename the optional fields and add your own questions. First name and email stay required: first name is saved on the client, and email recognises a returning booker and receives the confirmation.

  1. On your public page, open Booking and edit the Booking form. On a meeting link, the same editor is on the link.
  2. Switch fields off, rename them, or click Add question. Reorder them if you need to.
  3. Save. Reset to default fields puts the original form back.

Answers are saved on the appointment and included in the email you get when someone books. A personal client link skips the contact fields, because you already have them. Existing forms stay as they are until you change them.

04

Events

Read event booking answers

Questions on an event registration used to be easy to miss after the person had booked. Every answer now shows on the attendee, and again on that client's Forms tab next to their intake responses.

Open the event, find the attendee, and read the answers under their name. Open the client and choose Forms when you want them beside everything else they have filled in.

05

Invoices

Edit an invoice number

DoulaOne still suggests the next number. You can replace it when your records, or your accountant, use a different one. Two invoices in the same workspace cannot share a number.

  1. Open the invoice.
  2. Click Edit number.
  3. Leave the automatic number, or type your own, such as 2026-014. Save.

The new number is what the invoice, the PDF, and later emails show. An email you already sent still has the previous number.
