Zoom integration guide

DoulaOne lets birth professionals connect their personal Zoom account to automatically create Zoom meeting links when scheduling appointments or accepting public bookings. This guide explains how to add, use, and remove the integration.

Overview

The DoulaOne Zoom integration is optional and user-managed. Each doula connects their own Zoom account. DoulaOne uses Zoom only to create scheduled meetings and store the resulting join link on appointments — it does not join meetings, access recordings, or read your existing Zoom meetings.

Requirements

  • A DoulaOne workspace with access to calendar and scheduling features
  • A Zoom account (free or paid)
  • Zoom must be enabled on the DoulaOne server (your administrator configures OAuth credentials)

How to connect Zoom

  1. Log in to DoulaOne at doulaone.com.
  2. Open Settings and scroll to Integrations.
  3. Under Zoom, click Connect Zoom.
  4. Sign in to Zoom and approve the requested permissions.
  5. You will return to Settings. When connected, your Zoom account email is shown under the Zoom section.

Permissions requested

DoulaOne requests the following Zoom scopes:

  • user:read:user — to display which Zoom account is connected
  • meeting:write:meeting — to create scheduled Zoom meetings for appointments you book in DoulaOne

How to use Zoom in DoulaOne

Calendar appointments. When creating or editing an appointment, choose Zoom as the video provider. DoulaOne creates a scheduled Zoom meeting and saves the join link on the appointment. You and your client can use that link to join the call.

Public booking. On your public page settings, you can set the default booking location to Zoom so new online bookings receive a Zoom link automatically.

Google Calendar (optional). If you also connect Google Calendar, DoulaOne may add the Zoom join link to the calendar event location. Zoom works independently of Google — you do not need Google Calendar to use Zoom links.

How to disconnect and remove the app

In DoulaOne.

  1. Go to Settings → Integrations.
  2. Under Zoom, click Disconnect.
  3. This deletes your stored Zoom OAuth tokens from DoulaOne. Existing appointment records may still show previously created join links until you edit or remove them.

In Zoom. You can also revoke DoulaOne's access from your Zoom account:

  1. Sign in at zoom.us/profile/apps.
  2. Find DoulaOne in your connected apps.
  3. Click Remove.

To delete your entire DoulaOne account and all associated data, email contact@doulaone.com.

Data and privacy

When connected, DoulaOne stores your Zoom account email, OAuth access and refresh tokens, and meeting join URLs created for your appointments. We do not sell Zoom data or use it for advertising or model training.

For full details, see our Privacy Policy (Section 7: Zoom and Calendly user data).
