About

Hi, I’m Natalie, founder of NatNat Your Doula.

I didn’t become a doula because I had the “perfect” birth story. Quite the opposite.

Like many women, I had two straightforward NHS labour ward births where I never realised I had choices. I did what I was told, trusted everyone else to make the decisions, and only later realised birth could have felt very different.

That experience changed everything.

When my eldest daughter announced she was planning a freebirth and asked me to be her doula, I immersed myself in birth education. I trained with When Push Comes To Shove, became a certified doula and mentor, completed specialist VBAC training, and have continued studying birth physiology, informed consent, birth rights and current research ever since.

Today I support families choosing all kinds of births, including home birth, hospital birth, induction, VBAC, planned caesarean and freebirth. I don’t believe there is one “right” way to give birth. I believe every woman deserves honest information, genuine support and the freedom to make decisions without fear, pressure or coercion.

My role isn’t to tell you what to do.

It’s to help you understand your options, ask the questions nobody else is asking, and feel confident making decisions that are right for you and your baby.

Whether you want someone quietly holding the space, challenging unnecessary pressure, or reminding you that your voice matters, I’ll be there beside you every step of the way.

Because this is your pregnancy. Your birth. Your baby. Your decisions.
