Welcome! I’m the founder of Conception to 8, where I provide personalized, compassionate, and evidence-informed support to families throughout pregnancy, postpartum recovery, and the early years of parenting.
I bring over 10 years of professional experience working directly with infants, young children, and families, along with an extensive educational background in early childhood development, family studies, and communication.
My qualifications and training include:
Bachelor of Arts in Interdisciplinary Studies, from Oakland University.
Associate of Applied Science in Early Childhood Education, graduated with honors.
Associates in Arts, graduated with honors
Certified Birth & Postpartum Doula, with additional training in newborn care, lactation, and infant development.
Infant Mental Health and Early Childhood Mental Health Endorsements (IMH-E and ECMH-E).
Michigan Registry Approved Trainer, with over 300 hours of professional development and continuing education.
Licensed Michigan Family Child Care Provider, operating a Great Start to Quality 5-star-rated early childhood program.
My approach combines professional training, hands-on experience, and a deep understanding of the challenges families face during pregnancy and the postpartum period. As a mother myself, I understand how important it is to have reliable information, individualized support, and someone to turn to when questions arise.
My areas of support include breastfeeding and pumping education, formula and combination feeding, newborn sleep and safe sleep education, infant soothing, postpartum adjustment, birth planning, starting solids, and navigating everyday newborn care.
Through Conception to 8, I offer convenient virtual consultations to families nationwide, along with on-site services in Genesee County and surrounding Michigan communities. I also offer limited-availability 24/7 on-call support, allowing families to access personalized guidance when they need it most.
I am especially passionate about supporting families who may feel overlooked or underserved, including single mothers, teen parents, families navigating difficult birth experiences, and parents seeking additional guidance with their newborns.
