Rubi Rodriguez Doula · Rebozo Practitioner Rubi teaches rebozo closing work and biomechanics grounded in traditional Mexican practice, with the cultural and spiritual context held throughout rather than treated as optional extra. Sessions run bilingually in English and Spanish where useful for the group.

Part one · Online Mexican Postpartum Traditions Saturday 5 September · 10:00am – 12:30pm Origins and principles of la cuarentena Ancestral knowledge systems and why they matter in contemporary doula practice Introduction to the closing of the bones ceremony and rebozo care within this tradition Space for reflection and questions before the in-person days
Part two · Day one Postpartum Closing Ceremony & Rebozo Friday 18 September · 11:00am – 5:00pm · Margate The postpartum closing (cerrada) ceremony: meaning, elements, herbs, structure Rebozo techniques for the postpartum closing Guided practice in pairs and small groups
Part two · Day two Closing Practice & Biomechanics Saturday 19 September · 10:00am – 4:00pm · Margate Morning: two attendees receive a full closing ceremony practice simultaneously, with group hands-on practice Afternoon: rebozo in pregnancy and birth, grounded in biomechanics for pregnancy and birth Partner work, troubleshooting, and open questions
