Mars Lord is a birth doula who has supported hundreds of familes. She founded Abuela Doulas, the UK's first Black owned and led doula training organisation. Twenty-two years in birthwork. She has sat on the RCOG Race Equality Taskforce and the Birthrights Legal Inquiry panel, addressed the Secretary of Health, and featured on Channel 4's The Black Maternity Scandal.

Black and Brown birthing people die in childbirth at rates white birthing people do not. Mars built her career making sure rooms full of people with power can't look away from that. She trains doulas to do the same: see the birthing person in front of them, name harm when it happens, escalate when it matters.

She also runs Mars Lord Coach, a 1:1 coaching practice for Black women, working on the gap between what they deliver and what they're paid for it.
