Claire’s service was absolutely phenomenal for the birth of my first born. I chose to have a home birth in a pool and Claire helped me before, during and after in so many ways, to name a few she helped to source the birth pool for me from a local doula and she also helped with my home birth set up and birth plan.

When it came to my labour she was over in no time and helped me to advocate for my birthing wishes to the midwives, was a shoulder to cry on as I laboured but also a smiling face to giggle with and boost my oxytocin levels, she fed me, watered me, ensured my birth pool was a good temperature at all times, kept my partner’s spirits and emotions in check, and when he was born, she helped me latch him on which led to me being able to successfully breastfeed within the golden hour!

It is clear that she has a vast knowledge when it comes to pregnancy, birthing and beyond. I would say the most helpful things were her knowledge of biomechanics and the process of birth were the most helpful. During my labour Claire was frequently reminding me to change positions and gave me some lovely massages when I wanted one. She understood what I needed at every stage of my long, almost 20 hour labour without me having to ask!

After the birth of our little boy Claire was frequently checking in on us to ensure we were all well but respectfully didn’t intrude on our little newborn bubble. It was just the right amount of aftercare without making me feel I had to reply to messages or anything. As a first time mum I had so many questions at all times of the day and night and Claire never hesitated to reassure me and help in any way she could.

Throughout the whole process from bump to baby she was the most amazing kind, generous, caring person and I’ve definitely made a life long friend from the experience. My little boy also adores his auntie Claire! We can’t thank you enough and I know who to call when the time comes for our family to grow 😉🥰
